Eclipse Week “Infusion” 31 March - 5 April 2008
The Genesis Club is one of the Academy’s cadet cultural diversity organizations and a part of the newly implemented Diversity Council. Its purpose is to increase cultural awareness, promote mutual respect, and to provide a support network for cultural initiatives within the cadet corps. This year will feature the expansion of 33 years of Eclipse Weekends to Eclipse Week beginning on 31 March 2008. Similar to last year, the Compañeros Council, International Council, and Asian/Pacific American Council will help facilitate this year’s event.
This year’s Eclipse Weekend will focus on leadership, mentoring, and professional development. Eclipse Weekend also supports our strategic initiatives for diversity, retention, and recruiting as prospective minority cadets are invited to visit the Academy. In support of these initiatives, your command is encouraged to fund your attendance or grant permissive orders. Civilians are also highly encouraged to attend.
