Hazel Richardson: Student Care
Hazel Richardson was born in the United States Virgin Islands. At an early age, her family moved to New London, Connecticut where she attended grade school and graduated from New London High School. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences from Eastern Connecticut State University and is currently pursuing a Masters in Management. For nine years, she worked for Pfizer Inc and during that time served as an active member of ADVANCE (Africans/ African Americans Dedicated to Value Added Networking for Corporate Excellence) and as a SMART (Science & Math Are Terrific)program liaison to Bennie Dover Jackson Middle School students. She has a passion and longstanding commitment to working with youth and community organizations. Additionally, she served as a mentor and "big sister" to numerous students in Southeastern Connecticut. Currently she works as a Clinical Study Manager for pharmaceutical trials. When not working or giving back to the community, she enjoys cooking, traveling and reading.
